Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) and Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) will both have a few extra metres to race on Sunday in Barcelona, as each has been handed a Long Lap penalty for their respective incidents in the Tissot Sprint.

Morbidelli was given his for his crash with reigning Champion Jorge Martin (Aprilia Racing), and Aldeguer for his with Marco Bezzecch (Aprilia Racing) in an unfortunate double dose of bad luck for Aprilia.

Joan Mir (Honda HRC Castrol) also has a three-place grid penalty for Sunday after being slow on line and disturbing another rider in Q1, so he’ll start P20 for the Grand Prix.
