Razgatliouglu given Long Lap penalty for Sunday

The Turkish rider is penalised following Sprint incident with Savadori

The FIM MotoGP Stewards have given Toprak Razgatliouglu (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP) a Long Lap penalty for the Grand Prix race in Jerez following his Tissot Sprint incident with Aprilia wildcard Lorenzo Savadori.

Razgatlioglu, who made different headlines earlier on Saturday after an all-time great save in FP2, was deemed to have caused a crash during the Sprint, making contact with Savadori. Both riders went down.

The Turk joins Honda HRC Castrol rider Joan Mir as another who needs to head through the Long Lap loop during the Grand Prix. Mir has a double Long Lap – read more on that here – and Jorge Martin (Aprilia Racing) will also have a 3-place grid penalty.
