Xavier Artigas started in motor racing in 2009, when he was only 5 years old. During his initial steps to becoming a Grand Prix rider he participated in the Spanish Speed Championship with supermoto and flat track competitions. He was not out of place in either of the two disciplines. In 2017 he got a unique opportunity to compete in the Red Bull Rookies Cup after having passed the demanding selection tests. He stood out with seventh place at the Sachsenring, his best result, but his best moment in the Cup came in 2018 at the Red Bull Ring, following five podiums and a third place overall. In addition, during that same year he managed to win the European Talent Cup title. In 2019 he made the leap to the Moto3™ Junior World Championship with Leopard Racing, but his most notable performance of the season was the spectacular debut he had in the Moto3™ World Championship where he participated as a 'wildcard' in the Valencia Grand Prix, achieving an impressive third position. For 2021, Artigas sealed a seat with Leopard Racing and an impressive rookie season reached its peak when he took victory in the season finale at Valencia. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for the Spaniard to keep his place in the Leopard Racing squad after Dennis Foggia and Tatsuki Suzuki signed on for 2022. Their loss was Pruestel GP’s gain as the German outfit added Artigas to their ranks, and the Spaniard had an encouraging year, scoring numerous top six finishes. The 2023 season wouldn't be the most successful for him, despite securing a third place finish at the Americas Grand Prix, his sole podium of the season. At the conclusion of his third full campaign in Moto3™, Xavier Artigas would announce his promotion to Moto2™ for 2024 with the Forward Team.
