A former Red Bull MotoGP Academy rider, Danny Webb rode in the Spanish National Championship before making his World Championship debut in 2007. His experience developed steadily and his progress was evident with 2010 proving his best season to date with the Andalucia team, as Webb ironed out the crashes which had marked his seasons to date to consistently finish in the points and placed tenth overall. In 2011 he joined the newly formed Mahindra Racing team, with which he remained in 2012 to challenge for the Moto3 title. Yet a slow bike and injury woes saw the Brit down in the championship standings, prompting him to switch to the Ambrogio Racing team for 2013. They would part after six races, Webb struggling with injuries. Webb would return to the World Championship in 2016 for the Dutch TT, replacing Karel Hanika in the Platinum Bay Real Estate team.
