2021 FIM CEV Superstock 600 European Champion Alex Escrig joined the Moto2™ class for the 2023 campaign. The Spaniard is a familiar name to fans who follow all categories on the World Championship circuit, having competed in MotoE™ in 2022, with a Moto2™ wildcard at the final rider. Some impressive performance in the electric class did enough to convince MV Agusta to take a chance on the Valencia native, though his debut campaign is marked by injuries and replacements. In total, Escrig only participated in eight Grand Prix races and only scored points in Malaysia. The #11 continued with Forward Racing in 2024, with the Spanish rider experiencing a tough season after scoring no Championship points. Escrig’s partnership with Forward Racing continued in 2025 as he went on to score multiple top 10 finishes, scoring a best of P7 in Argentina. For 2026, Escrig continues with the Klint Forward Factory Team as he competes in his third season as a full-time Moto2 rider!
