Xavi Cardelus first broke onto the scene in 2015, when he finished 16th in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto2™ European Championship. In 2017, he contested several rounds of the WorldSSP Championship, scoring points in Aragon and Qatar, before taking his first steps in the Moto2™ World Championship in 2018. The Andorran rider was with the Stylobike team, before replacing Romano Fenati in the Marinelli Snipers Team from Aragon. In 2019 he competed in the intermediate category with the Ángel Nieto Team, in the return of the Spanish structure to Moto2™. For 2020, he faced a new challenge when he participated in the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup with the Avintia Esponsorama Racing team, earning a P9 as his season best result. During the 2020 season he also competed in the two Grand Prix held at the MotorLand Aragon circuit in the Moto2™ category, replacing the injured Aron Canet. For 2021 and 2022, he continued in the electric class with a P6 his best result. 2023 saw him compete once again in the Moto2™ European Championship, claiming P2 overall and earning himself another shot at World Championship level with Fantic Racing in 2024.
