Alessandro Zaccone finished in the top 10 of the European Superstock 600 series throughout 2014 and again in 2015 before moving on to the European Supersport Championship for the following two seasons. After that, Zaccone decided to leave the WorldSBK paddock to join the FIM CEV Repsol paddock, participating in the Moto2™ European Championship. In 2018, the Italian finished his debut season in the European Championship with a 4th place in the overall standings. In 2019, he won his first race of the year in Estoril and improved on the previous season's result to finish 3rd, which earned him a spot in the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup for 2020, where he had a modest season. For 2021, he signed with OCTO Pramac MotoE and immediately repaid the trust placed in him with a victory in the first round in Jerez. Two more podiums put him at the top of the standings, but luck abandoned the Italian in the final round in Misano, when he crashed in the first race and was declared unfit to compete in the final race. Gresini Racing Moto2™ saw enough in that performance to give him a seat in their intermediate category team for 2022. After a modest year, Zaccone returned to the electric category in 2023 alongside the French outfit of Tech3 E-Racing, where he finished eleventh. For 2024, with the same team, he will strive to once again rediscover the podiums and victories.
